TRUE LOVE IS MORE THAN JUST A DAY OF ROMANCE
As Valentine is approaching, you can see all the romantic features coming around such as little pinky hearts to express the love to your special half. Valentine is usually see as a day for romance. Men will buy chocolate & flowers (in modern time, it often comes with special gifts such as jewelry ). Women will wear their beautiful dress to meet their soulmate. And people will say lovely romantic things to each other.
BUT..what will happen after the February 14th? Will you be mad if you did not receive any gift that you expected from your men? Will you still keep loving & doing romantic actions to your half? Will you compliment your wife who all you see is not with beautiful dress but with messy hair cleaning the house, cooking your dinner & chasing your kids around? What will happen if you wake up the next day with all of the reality hits into your face? No more flowers; the chocolate melts & gifts are just things.
Let me tell you, TRUE LOVE is more than just a day of romance. True Love is an every day romance - when a men wiping out snow on his wife's car after a day of heavy snowing . It’s when the wife gets up early and make her husband a coffee and a warm breakfast before he's heading out for a busy work day. It's when two young people decide to make a commitment to be next to each other for a lifetime. True Love is just more beautiful than just a day of romance.
In our world today, the value of Love has been losing so much. Love nowadays is usually associated with Sex, Materials, or something to fill up your loneliness. True Love does not need a day to be reminded because it should be present every single day in a year. Love is in every small act we have with people surrounding us.
I have found a perfect definition and expression of Love in Bible and love to share it to you, my friends:
"Love is patient, love is kind
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails" - I Corinthians 3:14
Yes, TRUE LOVE never fails. It is sacrifice & unconditional. True Love worth the investment of your life, your time & your money - your everything - because it will go with you until you die!
Therefore, in this season of LOVE, I wish you not only have a beautiful day of romance on Feb 14th, but I wish that all of you will find your TRUE LOVE & will be the TRUE LOVE to some body!
